About The Position

Alto Walden Woods is hiring a Part-Time Kitchen Porter / Dishwasher to join our dining team. This role offers consistent afternoon hours ending at 6:30pm and provides comprehensive training from day one, making it an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking meaningful part-time work that complements their lifestyle. The primary responsibility of the Kitchen Assistant is to set tables, bus tables, wash dishes, assist the Cook as needed, and complete cleaning duties.

Requirements

• Must be 18+
• Pass a background screening
• Dependable, hardworking, and team-oriented
• Strong attention to cleanliness and organization
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
• Must have an awareness of safety practices.
• Must have a positive Criminal Background Screening.

Nice To Haves

• Minimum of six (6) months food service (or related field) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Wash and sanitize dishes, cookware, flatware, and kitchen equipment
• Support the culinary and dining team during afternoon meal service
• Maintain a clean, organized kitchen and dining environment throughout your shift
• Restock supplies and keep stations ready throughout service
• Be a dependable, team-first presence in a well-run kitchen
• Thoroughly wash all dishes, cookware, flatware, and utensils.
• Properly maintain all dishwashing equipment.
• Work as part of the Dining Services team to ensure smooth, efficient, and safe operation of the kitchen.
• Help contribute to high quality Dining Services operations by paying attention to food presentation and taste, and courteous responses to residents and associates during meal service.
