About The Position
Allegro Fort Lauderdale is seeking a Full-Time Kitchen Porter / Dishwasher to join their dining team. This role offers consistent PM hours, ending by 8:30 PM, with no late nights or midnight closings, making it a kitchen job that fits a balanced life. The position involves washing and sanitizing dishes, cookware, and equipment, assisting with basic food preparation, maintaining a clean kitchen and dining environment, restocking supplies, and adhering to food safety procedures. The ideal candidate will be dependable, team-oriented, and possess a strong attention to cleanliness and organization, comfortable working in a fast-paced setting.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of dishwasher experience in a restaurant, hospitality, or ALF setting
- Dependable, hardworking, and team-oriented
- Strong attention to cleanliness and organization
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Must be a minimum of 18 years of age
- Must have an awareness of safety practices
- Must have a positive Criminal Background Screening
Nice To Haves
- Minimum of six (6) months food service (or related field) preferred
Responsibilities
- Wash and sanitize dishes, cookware, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment throughout every shift
- Assist with basic food prep and kitchen tasks as directed by the culinary team
- Maintain a clean, organized kitchen and dining environment throughout service
- Restock kitchen supplies and keep stations ready throughout the shift
- Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures
- Set tables, bus tables, wash dishes, assist the Cook as needed, and complete cleaning duties
- Thoroughly wash all dishes, cookware, flatware, and utensils
- Properly maintain all dishwashing equipment
- Work as part of the Dining Services team to ensure smooth, efficient, and safe operation of the kitchen
- Help contribute to high quality Dining Services operations by paying attention to food presentation and taste, and courteous responses to residents and associates during meal service
