About The Position

Allegro Fort Lauderdale is hiring a Full-Time Kitchen Porter / Dishwasher to join our dining team. This role offers consistent PM hours that end at a reasonable time, making it a kitchen job that works for your life. The primary responsibility is to set tables, bus tables, wash dishes, assist the Cook as needed, and complete cleaning duties. We are looking for a dependable, team-first presence in a busy, well-run kitchen.

Requirements

Minimum 1 year of dishwasher experience in a restaurant, hospitality, or ALF setting
Dependable, hardworking, and team-oriented
Strong attention to cleanliness and organization
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
Must be a minimum of 18 years of age
Must have an awareness of safety practices
Must have a positive Criminal Background Screening

Nice To Haves

Minimum of six (6) months food service (or related field) preferred

Responsibilities

Wash and sanitize dishes, cookware, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment throughout every shift
Assist with basic food prep and kitchen tasks as directed by the culinary team
Maintain a clean, organized kitchen and dining environment throughout service
Restock kitchen supplies and keep stations ready throughout the shift
Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures
Set tables, bus tables, wash dishes, assist the Cook as needed, and complete cleaning duties
Thoroughly wash all dishes, cookware, flatware, and utensils
Properly maintain all dishwashing equipment
Work as part of the Dining Services team to ensure smooth, efficient, and safe operation of the kitchen
Help contribute to high quality Dining Services operations by paying attention to food presentation and taste, and courteous responses to residents and associates during meal service
