About The Position

Cresco Labs is seeking a Kitchen Lead for the 2nd Shift to join their team. This role involves assisting kitchen agents with daily production using commercial machinery for various products such as gummies, chocolate, fruit chews, coated chocolate "cores", tablets, and in conjunction with metal detection. The Kitchen Lead will actively participate in employee onboarding, performance management, and provide coaching and corrective actions. This position supervises kitchen agents by providing motivation, training, and development, while enforcing strict compliance to standard operating procedures and manufacturing formulas. A key aspect of this role is maintaining a safe and sanitary work environment, ensuring quality objectives are met through regular adherence to GMPs, sanitation audits, food safety checks, and product quality checks. The lead will monitor manufacturing processes, implement corrective action planning when needed, and develop production plans to maintain inventory levels based on sales and operational demand. Additionally, they will ensure proper weekly inventory, logging, and storage of all materials and packaging, and oversee the implementation and training for new products, equipment, and personnel, while also recommending and implementing efficiency improvements.

Requirements

  • 2+ years preferred in food or confectionary processing/manufacturing.
  • Experience in training, leading and/or mentoring staff or new hires preferred.
  • Demonstrates an adequate understanding of production machinery; equipment; processing; blending; extraction; shelf-stable products, quality, and/or other requisite technical knowledge
  • Demonstrates expert knowledge of SOPs, GMP, GDP and other company policies
  • Demonstrates knowledge of production, pack out, and inventory control procedures/concepts
  • Requires work around plant material, which could include exposure to plant pollen and/or dust.
  • Requires ability to sit, stand, kneel, and/or do repetitive actions with your hands for long periods of time.
  • Requires ability to lift up to 50 lbs to torso level.
