About The Position
The Kitchen Helper prepares food and serves customers in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations. This is a full-time role at the Apache location in Anchorage, Alaska, with a rotational schedule of four weeks on and two weeks off; days and hours may vary. The position requires previous remote camp work experience. The fixed pay rate is $17.00 per hour. The role is part of ESS Support Services Worldwide, which provides food and facility maintenance services for offshore and remote land sites.
Requirements
- Previous remote camp work experience is required.
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the position satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Responsibilities
- Obtain the daily production schedule and preparation requirements from the Chef.
- Prepare items according to production sheets, established quantities, and recipes.
- Complete and follow daily production worksheets and waste log sheets.
- Taste completed meals to ensure quality.
- Operate and clean equipment according to department procedures after each use.
- Store, label, and date food items according to policy.
- Follow HACCP guidelines to ensure food quality and safety.
- Complete required documentation, reports, and logs.
- Comply with applicable health and sanitation regulations and department sanitation procedures.
- Take customer orders and prepare items requiring short preparation time.
- Serve customers efficiently and in a friendly manner.
- Complete orders from steam tables and grills and serve customers at multiple stations.
- Use approved recipes and production standards to ensure quality, serving temperatures, and portion control.
- Resolve customer concerns.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
