About The Position

Rite of Passage is hiring a part-time Kitchen Helper at Les Peters Youth Academy in St. Petersburg, Florida. Les Peters Academy is a moderate-risk residential commitment program for female youth ages 14 to 19, providing comprehensive care, treatment, supervision, and evidence-based intensive mental health services, including individual, family, and group counseling.

The Kitchen Helper maintains the dining and food preparation facility in a sanitary condition, including the kitchen, dining room, storage and outside areas, refuse areas, garbage cans, and loading docks. The role pays $19 per hour.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check, drug screening, and TB test.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the kitchen, dining room, storage areas, outside areas, refuse areas, garbage cans, and loading docks in a sanitary condition.
• Ensure all areas meet or exceed applicable federal, state, and local sanitation regulations.
• Clean and maintain small wares and food preparation equipment.
• Report equipment problems, needed repairs, and cleanliness issues to the supervisor.
• Provide exceptional customer service to students, staff, and guests.
