About The Position

National Star Services, a 28-year-old facility management company with nationwide services, is seeking Kitchen Helpers for its Des Plaines, IL 60018 location. This role involves being part of a team that creates high-end products for hundreds of international airline guests daily. The position requires assisting chefs and cooks with various kitchen tasks, adhering to menu specifications, maintaining cleanliness, and complying with hygiene, quality, and safety standards.

Requirements

• Must have two updated valid forms of IDs.
• Must be bilingual (English & Spanish).
• Must have and wear slip-resistant shoes at work.
• Must have reliable transportation to get to and from work.
• Must be able to start working as soon as possible.

Responsibilities

• Assist chefs and cooks with food preparation, including cutting fruits and vegetables.
• Prepare small dishes.
• Assist with food plating and setting up airline catering trays.
• Read, understand, and follow menu specifications.
• Keep kitchen areas clean and tidy.
• Comply with hygiene, quality, and safety standards at all times.
