About The Position

The Chef Assistant provides day-to-day support with food preparation, cleaning, and general kitchen operations. This role is ideal for someone who is dependable, punctual, hands-on, and comfortable working independently with minimal supervision. The Chef Assistant will help maintain a clean and organized kitchen, prepare ingredients, and assist with basic culinary tasks as needed. Prior culinary experience is helpful but not required.

Requirements

• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Willingness to learn and assist with a variety of kitchen responsibilities.
• Comfortable performing cleaning, washing, food preparation, and other hands-on tasks.
• Strong attention to cleanliness and organization.
• Ability to follow instructions and maintain established kitchen standards.
• Previous kitchen, food preparation, or culinary experience is preferred but not required.
• Additional culinary skills are a plus.
• No specific certifications are required for the position.

Responsibilities

• Wash, clean, and maintain kitchen equipment, utensils, dishes, and work areas.
• Assist with basic food preparation, including washing, cutting, chopping, and preparing ingredients.
• Support the Chef with meal preparation and other basic culinary tasks as directed.
• Keep kitchen and food preparation areas clean, organized, and sanitary.
• Properly store ingredients, supplies, and kitchen equipment.
• Assist with general kitchen setup and cleanup before and after meal preparation.
• Monitor basic kitchen supplies and communicate when items need to be restocked.
• Follow established food handling, cleanliness, and kitchen safety practices.
• Complete assigned responsibilities independently and in a timely manner.
• Provide additional general kitchen support as needed.
