About The Position

As the PM Kitchen Helper, you help create a positive dining experience for residents. You prepare, stock, and maintain an appealing salad bar for lunch and dinner, provide friendly service in the dining room, keep tables clean, and wash and sanitize tableware, cookware, and equipment to help maintain a safe community. The position follows a Tuesday–Saturday schedule from 11:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. No previous culinary experience is required.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Able to work a consistent Tuesday–Saturday schedule from 11:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
• Able to read, speak, and understand basic English.
• Able to obtain food handler permits required by local ordinances within the first two weeks of employment.
• No previous culinary experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Operate the dish machine by loading, running, and unloading it; report mechanical issues and monitor and log water temperatures to ensure proper sanitization.
• Wash, store, and handle tableware and kitchenware carefully; maintain a clean, organized dish room and adequate supplies of clean items for the dining room and kitchen.
• Prepare, stock, and maintain the salad bar.
• Clean food preparation and production areas as needed.
• Support dining-room service by bussing tables, filling water carafes, preparing tables before meals, and delivering room-service orders.
• Safely use ovens, steamers, grills, kitchen tools, sharp utensils, and small appliances to support daily food preparation.
• Respond politely to food comments or complaints and promptly report concerns to leadership.
• Perform support work and additional tasks, including trash removal.
