About The Position

ARAMARK is hiring Kitchen General Utility Workers for its Food Services Department at Bishop’s University. This position involves assisting with general food preparation, preparing workstations and ingredients, participating in meal service operations, ensuring proper food rotation and storage, assisting with receiving and putting away orders, cleaning and maintaining service areas, greeting customers and providing excellent customer service, ensuring portion sizes and food quality meet standards, supporting food safety and sanitation programs, participating in the general upkeep of the kitchen, and following safety regulations. The role may have physical demands including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended walking/standing, and may require uniforms and/or PPE.

Requirements

Experience in food service or the restaurant industry.
Strong organizational skills.
Positive attitude.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Customer service oriented.
Must complete a criminal background check and, where applicable, a Vulnerable Sector Check.

Nice To Haves

Experience in food preparation is an asset.
Bilingualism (French and English) is an asset, as some of our customers are English-speaking.

Responsibilities

Assist with general food preparation in the kitchen.
Prepare workstations and ingredients for service.
Participate in meal service operations.
Ensure proper food rotation and storage practices.
Assist with receiving and putting away orders.
Clean and maintain service areas.
Greet customers and provide excellent customer service.
Ensure portion sizes meet requirements and that food quality complies with Aramark standards.
Support the implementation of food safety, sanitation, hygiene, and health programs.
Participate in the general upkeep and cleanliness of the kitchen.
Follow all established safety regulations and procedures.
Perform other related duties as required.
