About The Position
This role is responsible for supporting daily operations with a wide range of tasks including cleaning, food preparation, serving meals, and dishwashing. As a Multi Skilled Worker, you will perform housekeeping duties such as maintaining the cleanliness of residents' rooms and common areas. You will also assist with food preparation, set up and cleanup of chairs & tables, serving meals, delivering trays to residents, dishwashing and maintaining cleanliness of the kitchen. Additionally, you will perform duties according to health & safety guidelines, report all injuries and hazards to the supervisor immediately, and fulfill other reasonable requests from management.
Requirements
- Must have a valid Food Handler Certificate or provincial equivalent
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Good command of English language, both verbal and written and ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Pass a Drug & Alcohol Test
- Food service experience
Nice To Haves
- Previous housekeeping and food services experience is an asset
- Previous experience in the healthcare environment or long-term care setting is preferred
