About The Position

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking a Kitchen Equipment Technician to ensure kitchen appliances and related equipment function safely and efficiently in support of food and beverage operations. The role provides technical expertise and service while helping ensure commercial kitchen equipment remains safe, functional, and operating efficiently. As part of the leadership team, the technician is expected to guide, support, and inspire associates while contributing to extraordinary guest experiences. The position may start as early as September and pays $28–$35 per hour. Locations listed include Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin; Sandusky, Ohio; Pocono Manor, Pennsylvania; Round Rock, Texas; and Spotsylvania County, Virginia.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and kitchen gas appliances.
• Ability to read technical manuals, blueprints, and wiring diagrams.
• At least 3 years of experience repairing commercial kitchen equipment.
• A leadership style rooted in collaboration, respect, and service to others.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with refrigeration systems.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections and scheduled preventive maintenance on kitchen equipment.
• Identify potential issues before they cause equipment failure.
• Diagnose and repair malfunctions in commercial kitchen appliances, including ovens, grills, fryers, refrigerators, dishwashers, steamers, and mixers.
• Replace worn or defective parts.
• Respond to urgent equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime and keep kitchen operations running smoothly.
• Assist with installing and properly setting up new kitchen appliances and equipment.
• Ensure new equipment meets safety and performance standards.
• Ensure equipment meets local health and safety codes.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance and repairs for compliance audits.
• Guide, support, and inspire associates through a collaborative, respectful, and service-oriented leadership style.
