About The Position
New Day Recovery is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to support food service at its treatment center in Niles, Ohio. Kitchen and support staff contribute to clients’ recovery experience by helping provide well-prepared meals in a comforting, home-like environment. This is a steady, hands-on kitchen role suited to someone with experience in school, cafeteria, or food service settings.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Physical ability to perform repetitive motions, including bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, and climbing, and to lift objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
Nice To Haves
- Previous food service work experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist with food inventory and control to ensure health and safety standards for food preparation and serving.
- Assist with preparing meals and snacks according to recipes.
- Serve meals and prepare snacks as required.
- Keep the kitchen, dining, beverage, and food service areas clean.
- Maintain kitchen, dietary, and service areas in an uncluttered and safe condition.
