About The Position

The Kitchen Assistant is part of the team at Sonya Lodge Care Home, helping provide residents with food and a positive dining experience while supporting their wellbeing. The role involves preparing food and assisting with kitchen duties, meal preparation, and service. The successful candidate will receive ongoing training and development, with opportunities for progression within Nellsar, including apprenticeships.

Responsibilities

Prepare food as directed by the Head Chef.
Assist with kitchen duties, including ensuring cleaning schedules are followed.
Help prepare and serve meals in a timely manner.
Liaise politely and in a person-centred way with care staff and residents.
Understand and follow health and safety requirements.
