About The Position

NatureBridge is seeking a full-time Kitchen Assistant for its Marin Headlands campus. This role supports the cooks in prepping and serving cafeteria-style food to K-12 students and adult chaperones. The position is primarily focused on dishwashing and custodial duties within a kitchen environment located at Golden Gate National Recreation Area. The organization's mission is to connect young people to the natural world through environmental science education experiences.

Requirements

• Interest in and ability to support the preparation of meals
• Promptness and a positive attitude.
• Ability to follow verbal and written directions.
• Able to work well with other staff.
• Able to work efficiently under pressure and time limits.
• Must pass a background check.

Nice To Haves

• Food service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Wash dishes, pots and pans.
• Maintain cleanliness of dining room cabinets.
• Keep all refrigerators clean with dates and labels on all items.
• Maintain and clean the Kitchen and Equipment.
• Receive and stock deliveries of food and supplies.
• Help to set up the buffet.
• Help cooks in the preparation of meals.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
