About The Position

Monte Nido Rosewood Ranch is seeking a PRN Kitchen Assistant to assist with preparing and serving meals at its eating disorder treatment facility in Wickenburg, Arizona. The role supports meals for patients, visitors, and staff while maintaining high standards of safety and sanitation. Duties also include washing and storing dishes and kitchen utensils, and stocking and cleaning required areas. The Kitchen Assistant uses the approved dietary manual and kitchen equipment and communicates appropriately with patients, visitors, and staff.

Requirements

• Ability to read, write, and follow directions.
• Prior experience is preferred; a desire to learn portioning, preparing, and serving is required.
• Familiarity with safety and sanitation practices.
• Must have CPR/BLS certification before starting work; training can be arranged if needed.
• Must possess a current Arizona DPS fingerprint card.
• Must obtain and maintain an Arizona food handler’s card within 30 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma (preferred, not required).
• Prior experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals to patients, visitors, and staff.
• Assist in planning and preparing future meals.
• Use the approved dietary manual when preparing food and storing leftovers.
• Use the dish machine and three-compartment sink properly.
• Wash and store dishes, silverware, glassware, pots, pans, and utensils.
• Stock and clean required areas.
• Communicate appropriately with patients, visitors, and staff.
• Maintain high standards of safety and sanitation.
