About The Position

The Kitchen Helper supports the day-to-day operations of the kitchen at Centre 105 by assisting with meal preparation, maintaining cleanliness, and supporting meal service. Working alongside the Kitchen Coordinator, this role helps ensure the kitchen runs efficiently and that participants receive meals in a safe, respectful, and welcoming environment. This position is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience working with vulnerable individuals in a community-based kitchen setting.

Requirements

• Ability to work collaboratively with staff and volunteers
• Ability to help create a welcoming and respectful environment
• Ability to assist with serving meals, coffee, and drinks to participants
• Ability to assist with organizing food supplies and donations
• Ability to assist with daily cleaning and sanitizing of surfaces
• Ability to wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment
• Ability to maintain a clean and organized kitchen space
• Ability to support the Kitchen Coordinator during meal service
• Ability to help with basic food prep
