About The Position
Spanish Schoolhouse is hiring a part-time English Kindergarten Teacher for its Sugar Land campus. The teacher will provide a safe, nurturing, and welcoming learning environment; deliver the Spanish Schoolhouse curriculum; and prepare students for academic success through engaging, hands-on instruction and individualized attention. The role includes tracking children’s daily activities and developmental progress and keeping parents informed. The schedule is Tuesday and Thursday, 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with the possibility of additional hours.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Teaching certification.
- Enthusiasm for learning and child development.
- Previous teaching experience.
- Fluency in spoken, read, and written English.
Nice To Haves
- K–5 teaching experience.
Responsibilities
- Create a safe, nurturing, and welcoming learning environment for students.
- Prepare fun, engaging lesson plans focused on hands-on learning.
- Set classroom rules and expectations using positive discipline.
- Teach according to the Spanish Schoolhouse curriculum and prepare students for academic success.
- Provide individualized attention to help each child reach their full potential, engaging children in conversation and hands-on learning.
- Document children’s daily activities and developmental growth, and keep parents informed of progress.
- Maintain positive relationships and communication with students, parents, and team members.
