Special Education Kinder Collab Aide
About The Position
The Special Education Kinder Collab Aide is a paraprofessional/ SPED Resource Instructional Aide position at Desert Hills Elementary for the 2026-2027 school year. The work schedule is 187 days, eight hours per day, at a daily rate of $110.40-$133.84. The aide works with children with disabilities and communicates with students, parents, and coworkers. A valid Texas Educational Aide Certificate must be obtained upon hire. Applicants must submit a copy of a high school diploma or equivalent, college transcripts documenting at least 48 credit hours (or more), a copy of a driver's license, and a current resume. Documents may be attached electronically or delivered to the CISD Central Administration Building at 14521 Horizon Blvd., El Paso, Texas 79928.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Meet ESSA standards by completing two years of study at an institution of higher education (48 college credit hours) or holding an associate's degree or higher.
- Apply for and obtain a valid Texas Educational Aide Certificate upon hire.
- Ability to effectively communicate with parents, coworkers, and students.
- Ability to work well with children with disabilities.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work well under supervision.
- Ability to use a computer and familiarity with Word, Excel, Access, and email systems.
