About The Position
Arlington Public Schools is hiring a 1.0 FTE Kindergarten Assistant at Innovation Elementary School. The position is classified as A-09 and works 187 days. The assistant supports elementary students and works under teacher direction and supervision. Salary is based on the FY2026-27 salary schedule; the benefit-eligible A-Scale range is $24.60–$46.79 per hour. Applicants must meet the highly qualified requirements: a high school diploma and either an associate degree, two years of college study (at least 60 semester hours, including 12 hours in English or mathematics depending on job responsibilities), or a score of at least 455 on the ParaPro Test. Experience working with elementary students is required. The role calls for patience, flexibility, organization, communication with parents, and collaboration as a team player.
