About The Position

The Elmhurst Park District is seeking a part-time Kids Plus Attendant for its quality drop-in childcare program at Courts Plus. This role involves assisting in the planning, coordination, and implementation of a program designed to support children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development. The attendant will be responsible for enforcing rules, preparing materials for activities, adapting activities to meet diverse needs, supervising children, and maintaining the cleanliness of the Kids Plus area and equipment.

Requirements

Some high school education
Understanding of childcare needs and requirements

Responsibilities

Assist in planning, coordinating, and implementing a program designed to support social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
Enforce rules for behavior, and procedures for maintaining order.
Prepare materials for daily activities prior to opening.
Adapt activities to meet the needs and interests of children of all ability levels.
Supervise children of mixed ages.
Maintain cleanliness of Kids Plus and equipment.
