About The Position

Grace Fellowship Church is seeking a Kids Ministry Associate Director to assist the Directors in providing excellent ministry for children aged 0-5th grade and their families. The role focuses on helping children know God, understand the Bible, and share their faith. The ideal candidate is a committed Christian with a passion for the church's mission and a proven track record in Kids Ministry. Grace Fellowship Church is a house of prayer with a vision to make disciples who make disciples, emphasizing relationship as the foundation for this process.

Nice To Haves

  • College degree in early childhood development or 2-3 years experience in Kids Ministry at a church.
  • A strong desire to help children develop a passion for God, with a call to Kids Ministry
  • Strong leadership skills that are relational, leader of leaders as well as kids
  • Strong communications skills, both verbal and written
  • Flexibility / adaptability/ teachability
  • Strong computer skills
  • Some knowledge of technical aspects contributing to large group including sound, lighting, video and ProPresenter
  • Detailed oriented, with strong organizational, planning, and time management skills
  • Able to prioritize and multi-task; must be self-starter and have a strong work ethic
  • Able to maintain confidentiality
  • Able to work with diverse personalities/interests in a professional and Christian manner
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other staff

Responsibilities

  • Take leadership of large group Sunday morning; lead, recruit, communicate, coordinate, train, and equip leaders for large group Sunday morning which includes large group teachers and worship leaders in Early Childhood and Elementary
  • Coordinate large group technology needs with the Tech Coordinator and volunteers
  • Take leadership of special events; lead, recruit, communicate, coordinate, train, and equip leaders for large group big events such as Christmas Eve, Easter, and VBS which include large group teachers, worship leaders, skit/play participants
  • Assist with Special Needs events including but not limited to Special Needs camps, VBS, respite, and family events
  • Support mid-week kids’ program, including but not limited to Foundations
  • Help ensure resources are ready and available for weekly kids’ ministry programming
  • Encourage and support kids, leaders, and families through ongoing connection with cards, calls and emails (Be relational)
  • Participate and engage in weekly staff meetings and monthly all staff meetings.
  • Contribute as a team player with the Kids staff and entire Grace Fellowship staff.
  • Embrace other job-related duties as needed to support the overall mission and needs of the church.
