(Avondale) Kids Care Facilitator (PM) (November Start)

About The Position

The Kids Care Facilitator supervises and ensures the safety of scholars in the afternoon Kids Care program. Reporting directly to the Assistant Director of Kids Care/Preschool, the facilitator carries out planned activities, builds effective relationships with scholars and families, and communicates with the school community while maintaining a safe, loving, and engaging environment. The position is part-time and non-exempt, paying $18.00 per hour. Hours are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 2:00–6:00 PM, and Wednesday from 12:00–6:00 PM. Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
At least six months of experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting.
Valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
Current tuberculosis test results, obtained within the past year.
Current First Aid and CPR certification; training must be completed in person.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders, including staff, parents, and students.

Nice To Haves

Associate degree in Early Education or a closely related field.
At least one year of experience in a program similar to Kids Care.

Responsibilities

Implement strategies to manage student behavior and promote a harmonious environment.
Supervise students vigilantly during activities and transitions.
Ensure students’ safety and well-being throughout the Kids Care program.
Carry out Kids Care activity plans faithfully, ensuring activities are engaging and developmentally appropriate.
Foster a positive and inclusive environment that encourages student participation and enjoyment.
Communicate professionally and respectfully with coworkers, parents, students, and other members of the school community.
Respond to parents’ concerns and inquiries in a timely and respectful manner.
Attend regular SVE staff meetings to discuss program updates, student progress, and concerns.
Provide oral and written reports as needed to document activities, incidents, and student progress.
Follow Kids Care program procedures and policies in the Employee Handbook and applicable Arizona Department of Health Services and Arizona Department of Economic Security requirements.
Ensure activities and interactions comply with SVE standards and regulations.
Establish Kids Care routines and procedures in a positive manner that supports positive behavior.
