About The Position

The YMCA of Greater Erie is looking to hire a Kid Zone Attendant for their County Location. This role involves providing a safe, secure, and positive environment for children ages 6 weeks to 8 years old while their parents use the YMCA facilities. The attendant will ensure the safety of all children through proper supervision, maintain the cleanliness of the Kid Zone area, and engage children in fun activities. This position requires a friendly, patient, and alert individual who loves working with children.

Requirements

At least 18 years of age
High school diploma or equivalent
Basic skills working with children
Current certification in CPR Pro (CPR for health care providers and first responders)
Current certification in First Aid (for the community and workplace)
Ability to pass a background check
Ability to pass a physical
Love for children
Patient and able to remain calm when stressed

Responsibilities

Provide a safe, secure, and positive environment for children ages 6 weeks to 8 years old.
Ensure the safety of all children through proper supervision ('see, hear, direct, and assess').

Have fun with the children while they are in your care.
Engage children in activities such as reading and singing.
