About The Position

The YMCA of Greater Erie is looking to hire a Kid Zone Attendant for their County Location. This role involves providing a safe, secure, and positive environment for children aged 6 weeks to 8 years old while their parents use the YMCA facilities. The attendant will ensure the safety and supervision of children, maintain a clean and orderly Kid Zone area, and engage children in fun activities. This position requires attentiveness to YMCA emergency procedures and a love for interacting with children.

Requirements

At least 18 years of age
High school diploma or equivalent
Basic skills working with children
Current certification in CPR Pro (CPR for health care providers and first responders)
Current certification in First Aid (for the community and workplace)
Ability to pass a background check
Ability to pass a physical
Love for children
Be a people person who especially enjoys interacting with children
Be patient and able to remain calm when stressed

Responsibilities

Provide a safe, secure, and positive environment for children ages 6 weeks to 8 years old.
Ensure proper supervision for the children, always being alert.
Keep the kid zone area clean and in order.
Follow YMCA emergency procedures.
Have fun with the children while they are in your care.
Interact with children, read, and sing with them.
