About The Position

The Dutch, Belgian and Scandinavian markets are supported from the office in Belgium (Niel). To support and further expand the Dutch market, we are looking for a Key Contact Manager. This is a highly dynamic role in which you spend 90% of your time visiting customers in your territory (Southern Netherlands). You are the key contact for your customers: veterinarians and other veterinary professionals. You provide them with high-quality technical advice based on your scientific knowledge and product expertise, you organize trainings within our focus domains, and seek out the best support for veterinary practices. You act as a true business coach.

Requirements

  • Veterinary background, or at least a strong affinity with the veterinary world.
  • Scientific or Commercial degree or equivalent experience.
  • 1-3 years of experience, ideally in the veterinary or pharmaceutical field.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Results-oriented, analytical and follow action plans closely.
  • Proactive, independent, persistent and motivated.
  • Knowledge of Dutch and basic English is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve turnover and sales targets in your region and continuously look for opportunities to grow the business.
  • Report directly to the Sales Manager Veterinary and ensure that administrative tasks are completed correctly and within the agreed upon time frames and formats.
  • Develop a commercial action plan for your region, focusing on product priorities, launches, sales results and market developments. Present this plan to your Sales Manager and execute it once approved.
  • Maintain regular contact with customers to strengthen strategic relationships.
  • Monitor changes in customer potential and update the client database regularly.
  • Keep your technical knowledge and product expertise up to date through internal and external training, reading specialised literature, and actively participating in meetings with Marketing and the Technical Manager.
  • Strengthen Vetoquinol’s position in the veterinary market by actively participating in external meetings, fairs and networking events.
  • Report any product complaints to the relevant Pharmacovigilance or Quality Assurance contacts.
