Key Carrier Coordinator
About The Position
The Key Carrier role is an elevated extension of the Coordinator role. Key Carriers primarily perform Coordinator duties and occasionally act as Key Carrier, taking on a leadership role in maintaining all aspects of the store. They must have open availability, including nights and weekends, and serve as role models for exceptional customer service. The Key Carrier creates positive customer experiences, promotes honesty and integrity, and maintains confidentiality. When acting as Manager on Duty, the role follows company policies and procedures, helps ensure store tasks are completed according to the store plan, addresses immediate customer service issues, and supports Associates through coaching, feedback, recognition, and training. The position also supports operational procedures, opening and closing, labor-law compliance, credit and loyalty programs, shrink reduction, and store safety. The position is located at HomeGoods Store 0523 in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania. Starting pay is $15.50 to $16.00 per hour; actual starting pay depends on relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.
Requirements

- Knowledge of merchandise flow in stores.

- Capable of multitasking.
- Superior communication and organizational skills, with attention to detail.
- At least 1 year of retail experience and 6 months of leadership experience.
Responsibilities
- Create a positive internal and external customer experience.
- Promote a culture of honesty and integrity and maintain confidentiality.
- Act as Manager on Duty in accordance with company policy and procedure.
- Ensure the store team performs tasks and activities in accordance with the store plan, prioritizing as needed.
- Address immediate customer service issues and provide appropriate coaching to Associates.
- Exercise discretion regarding customer service policies to satisfy customers.
- Maintain accurate Associate coverage in service areas to support a positive customer experience.
- Ensure Associates adhere to operational procedures.
- Ensure opening and closing procedures are executed according to company guidelines.
- Communicate accurately and effectively with management and Associates when setting and addressing priorities, and provide progress updates.
- Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
- Provide feedback, recognition, and coaching to Associates.
- Partner with Management on Associate training needs to increase effectiveness.
- Ensure adherence to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
- Promote credit and loyalty programs.
- Support and participate in shrink reduction goals and programs.
- Promote safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
