In Abbott’s Electrophysiology (EP) business, we’re advancing the treatment of heart disease through breakthrough medical technologies in atrial fibrillation, allowing people to restore their health and get on with their lives. The Abbott Area Key Account Clinical Specialist will work in tandem with the sales team to grow Abbott’s market share in institutions that are critical to the long-term success of the EP division. The clinical specialist will drive business through clinical acumen, leadership and account coordination.

Requirements

  • Advanced Degree
  • Proficiency in salesforce and PowerBI
  • 3+ years of successful EP industry experience
  • Willing and able to travel at 50%

Responsibilities

  • Represent the top tier of mapping support by maintaining an omnipotent understanding of the EP market and cutting-edge mapping technology
  • Mentor and solidify the clinical presence associated with each Key institution
  • Provide in case support, new product training, sales support and other pertinent education related to the Abbott portfolio
  • Maintain account material that can be used as promotional tools for the sales team. Examples include case studies, case time reports, activities trackers, etc.
  • Coordinate fellows’ education, when appropriate
  • Conduct physician educational presentations that highlight the value of Abbott technology in a positive light
  • Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing customers
  • Work within a multifunctional team to promote creative and critical thinking, collaborative engagements and execute upon time-sensitive objectives
  • Network internally within Abbott to ensure appropriate execution of critical strategies and initiatives
  • Perform the necessary administrative tasks
  • Comply with U.S. Food and Drug Administration regulations, Abbott corporate policies and standard hospital operating procedures
