About The Position

The Key Account Manager (KAM) is responsible for managing the Sazerac relationship with targeted accounts and leading KPI development for the emerging and new business market channel. The KAM will develop account-specific Joint Business Plans (JBPs), submit for RFPs, maximize Sazerac distribution and visibility, and develop/train execution teams on programs and best practices. This role focuses on achieving volume, distribution, share, and visibility objectives for strategic priority brands within the hospitality channel. The KAM will use KPIs to ensure brand standards and channel priorities are met, monitoring results through KPI tracking, idig/Power BI, and scorecards. They will provide quarterly performance recaps and monthly progress updates to the VP of On Premise. The KAM will also develop and implement KPIs with distributor National Account teams for focus and growth of BCSP, SSP, and NBD brands in the Hospitality Channel, establishing annual distribution and volume objectives by strategic categories and brand priorities. They will track and report monthly results to the channel Director, utilizing iDig/Power BI data for programming and reporting. The KAM will develop and implement priorities, projects, and tasks to ensure focus on high-priority, high-reward projects, and maintain up-to-date key account contact lists in the CMS system. Additionally, they will provide monthly retail-level intelligence to the Channel Director and VP of NKA On Premise, including brand information on "hot brands," emerging consumer behavior, and consumption patterns, ensuring seamless integration of new brand acquisitions. The KAM will hold monthly information and update meetings with District Managers (DMs) and Regional Teams for effective communication and collaboration, and schedule/conduct necessary training for execution teams and distributors to multiply the success of KPI development in the Hospitality channel.

  • 3 years relevant sales experience in Key Accounts with a proven track record of success selling to corporate/headquarter buyers
  • Ability to travel 60-70% across multiple states

Responsibilities

  • Own the Sazerac relationship of targeted accounts and help lead KPI development for the emerging and new business market channel.

  • Use KPI's to ensure that execution of brand standards, channel priorities and monitor results through the use of KPI tracking, idig/Power BI, and scorecard to provide "quarterly recaps of performance vs KPI's targets" and "monthly recap of progress" to VP of On Premise.
  • Develop and implement KPI's with the appropriate distributor National Account team members to ensure focus and growth of BCSP, SSP, NBD brands in the Hospitality Channel.
  • Establish annual distribution and volume objectives by strategic categories, brand priorities per channel.
  • Track and report monthly results to channel Director.
  • Utilize iDig/Power BI data to program and report results of priority BCSP, SSP, and NBD brands.
  • Develop and implement appropriate Priorities, Projects, and Tasks to ensure that KAM's are focused on the highest priority and highest reward projects.
  • Keep key account contact lists up-to-date in the CMS system.
  • Provide retail level intelligence monthly to Channel Director and VP of NKA On Premise to include Brand Information regarding "hot brands" and emerging consumer behavior and consumption patterns.
  • Ensure seamless retail level integration/communication of new brand acquisitions.
  • Hold monthly information and update meetings with DM's and Regional Teams to ensure effective communication/execution of program wins, collaboration opportunities and requests for help.
  • Schedule and conduct necessary training to execution team and distributors to ensure they multiply success of KPI development in the Hospitality channel.
