About The Position

The Key Account Manager is responsible for managing and growing strategic OEM and Tier‑1 customer relationships by driving commercial performance, coordinating cross‑functional support, and ensuring flawless execution from quotation through production and lifecycle management. This role acts as the primary customer interface, accountable for sales growth, pricing, contract compliance, forecasting, and issue resolution while aligning customer requirements with internal manufacturing, engineering, quality, and supply chain teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, Commerce, Supply Chain or Operational Management. Or an equivalent combination of education and relevant automotive sales experience.
  • 5–8 years of progressive experience in Automotive sales, key account management, or commercial roles
  • Direct experience managing OEM or major Tier‑1 customer accounts, acting as the primary commercial interface
  • Proven experience supporting the full product lifecycle, including RFQs and quoting, program launch, ongoing production and commercial management, claims and end of life management.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary commercial point of contact for assigned OEM and Tier‑1 customer accounts
  • Build and maintain long‑term, strategic customer relationships across purchasing, engineering, quality, and plant leadership
  • Act as the voice of the customer internally and the voice of the company externally
  • Support program launches (SOP) by coordinating with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including RFQs, platform awards, and program expansions
  • Lead the quotation and commercial proposal process, ensuring competitive pricing and profitable outcomes
  • Develop and execute account plans to achieve revenue, margin, and growth targets
  • Negotiate and manage pricing, contracts, and commercial agreements in alignment with company policies
  • Drive cost recovery, price adjustments, and commercial change management related to engineering changes, volume shifts, and inflation
  • Ensure compliance with contractual terms, including pricing, tooling, and commercial obligations
  • Monitor customer scorecards, KPIs, and performance metrics
  • Lead or support customer issue resolution, including escalations, corrective actions, and recovery plans
  • Participate in customer reviews, audits, and performance meetings
  • Prioritize safety and comply with the Health and Safety Management System.
  • Support risk reduction, hazard identification, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and wellness legislation and KSR standards.
  • Uphold and adhere to the KSR Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct.
  • Promote the global Environmental Management System with a focus on footprint reduction, recycling, and resource efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental legislation and KSR standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
