This role is with their Swedish Match affiliate, a leading producer of CPGs, particularly known for the ZYN nicotine pouch brand, which is the number one selling nicotine pouch in the US. The company's vision is 'A world without cigarettes,' and they aim to provide adult consumers with lower-risk alternatives to smoking. This position is crucial for developing comprehensive business plans to grow operating profits and revenues for assigned Region Accounts.

Requirements

  • College Degree or equivalent experience in key account responsibility preferred.
  • Minimum five years or more experience in consumer goods area.
  • Proven ability to communicate both verbally and written.
  • Good presentation development and delivery skills are mandatory.
  • Good analytical skills.
  • Strong computer skills with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Developed computer skills.
  • Ability to work with various class of trade accounts.
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a comprehensive business plan for assigned Region Accounts to actualize the overall objective of the Region sales mission and its strategic direction to efficiently grow operating profits and revenues year over year.
  • Reinforce the performance appraisal process through coaching to increase growth and development of the sales organization.
  • Provide a development plan for each Account Representative to ensure they have the necessary knowledge, skills, and characteristics for advancement.
  • Evaluate Account Representatives and recommend for reward and recognition, requiring ongoing monitoring and upgrading of performance objectives and role standards.
  • Participate in the evaluation and hiring of Account Managers when needed, with support from Corporate Human Resources, Business Development Manager, and the Region Director of Sales.
  • Develop, lead, and actualize a strategic business plan to grow operating profits and revenue year over year with the assigned customer group, focusing on distribution, merchandising execution, identifying region growth opportunities, brand displacement, and category management.
  • Understand and utilize syndicated data (I.R.I. Nielsen, and consumer) to identify space dimension opportunities to assist the BDM in setting region goals and objectives, developing sales presentations, and supporting the region planning process.
  • Identify and mobilize internal (BIM, customer service, marketing, sales leadership, sales operations, financial, production) and external resources to actualize specific space dimension improvement goals for top strategic region customers.
  • Manage and allocate local trade and promotional spending budgets in alignment with region guidelines.
  • Assess and evaluate the business results of assigned customers and recommend strategic change strategies if necessary.
  • Understand and translate national and regional policies, procedures, operating strategies, and plans to account associates, including transferring knowledge of personnel and vital business information.
  • Create an environment of cooperation, credibility, candor, consistency, and commitment to exceptional performance, focusing on building growth opportunities and encouraging individual thinking.
  • Develop value-added customer and consumer strategies to maximize operating earnings and revenue.
  • Develop and recommend strategies for internal and external customers' businesses and review their coverage.
  • Develop preferred relationships with customer's key decision-makers at all levels within the customer organization, aiming to be the customer's Category Manager.
  • Review customer accounts, including assessment processes, and recommend improved strategies where needed.
  • Understand customer and consumer needs and provide value-added products, creating leadership within the OTP category.
