About The Position

Drives a Salvation Army vehicle for delivering and picking up Christmas kettles, supplies and bellringers to designated kettle locations. This is a seasonal position requiring a valid driver’s license, approved criminal background and approved credit background.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license
• Approved criminal background
• Approved credit background
• High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• Two years’ experience operating an automotive vehicle
• Valid Oklahoma driver’s license with a clean MVR (Motor Vehicle Record).
• Ability to meet attendance requirements.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language.
• Ability to travel to various locations throughout the metro.
• Ability to safely drive a vehicle in heavy traffic.
• Ability to greet guests, such as volunteers or clients.
• Ability to concentrate in a disruptive environment.
• Ability to alternate between manual labor duties and contact with public.
• Ability to perform strenuous, heavy work involving the lifting and carrying of heavy objects

Nice To Haves

• Ability to drive up to a 24-foot box van.
• Excellent knowledge of OKC/Norman and surrounding area streets.
• General vehicle maintenance such as pre-trip inspections.
• Ability to read and follow written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for delivering and picking up Christmas kettles, supplies and bellringers at designated kettle locations.
• Collects kettles and supplies from designated bell ringer and returns kettles to appropriate Corps office for counting.
• Locks vehicle doors when vehicle is not in use.
• Parks vehicle in a safe and clearly marked parking space.
• Performs other related work as required.
