Kettle Coordinator (7966)
About The Position
This position is responsible for recruiting, training, coordinating, and monitoring the work of employee and volunteer bell ringers to ensure ample staff to meet location needs. It also involves preparing records and reports related to these activities. Additionally, the role supports all functions of the Angel Tree warehouse, including the receipt, storage, and distribution of donations given to The Salvation Army during the Christmas season. Responsibilities include assisting with loading, unloading, and sorting donations, moving materials into the warehouse, and aiding in the setup, cleanup, and breakdown of the warehouse.
Requirements
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- Ability to meet attendance requirements.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language.
- Valid Driver’s License and must meet TSA MVR Requirements.
Nice To Haves
- One year experience working with kettle fund raising programs preferred.
- Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Responsibilities
- Interviews, recruits, screens and selection of bell ringing staff and volunteers ensuring all sites are covered effectively.
- Plans, schedules, and assigns work of staff and volunteers; instructs in proper methods and procedures.
- Checks and approves work in progress and upon completion to ensure accuracy and completeness as well as compliance with Salvation Army policies and procedures.
- Maintains contact with staff and volunteers throughout their service; answers questions, concerns, or problems.
- Recognizes workers through correspondence by mail, in person or by phone.
- Supports all functions of the Angel Tree warehouse, to include receipt, storage, and distribution of donations.
- Assist with loading, unloading, and sorting donations.
- Moving donations and other materials into the warehouse.
- Assist in the setup, clean up and break down of the warehouse.
