About The Position

The Kettle Coordinator helps The Salvation Army Corps locations with Thanksgiving and Christmas efforts. The role coordinates kettle workers and volunteers, manages kettle equipment and related data, and assists with holiday food and toy activities. The position also supports kettle income processing, coordination with store managers, volunteer recruitment, and seasonal events and distributions.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• California Driver’s License.
• Willingness to take initiative.
• Ability to maintain a high level of integrity and confidentiality.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to assist people entering or exiting passenger vehicles.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly and up to 75 lbs. intermittently.
• Qualified individuals must be able to perform the essential duties with or without accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and coordinate kettle workers and volunteers.
• Manage paid kettle workers.
• Coordinate kettle drop-off and pick-up.
• Enter kettle data into the current kettle program.
• Ensure proper placement of kettle stands.
• Track distribution and collection of kettle equipment.
• Maintain and properly deploy Tip Tap equipment.
• Assist with counting and depositing kettle income.
• Help coordinate with store managers to address issues or concerns.
• Attend and assist with Kettle Kick Off.
• Assist in recruiting volunteers and workers.
• Assist with picking up toys at various locations.
• Assist with food pick-ups as needed.
• Assist at the Toy/Food Warehouse.
• Assist with Thanksgiving Food Box distribution.
• Assist with Christmas Toy/Food distribution.
