About The Position

This position is responsible for recruiting, training, coordinating, and monitoring the work of employee and volunteer bell ringers to ensure adequate staffing for location needs. The role involves preparing records and reports related to these activities.

Requirements

  • High School or G.E.D.
  • One year experience working with kettle fund raising programs preferred, or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Ability to meet attendance requirements.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language.

Responsibilities

  • Interviews, recruits, screens, and selects bell ringing staff and volunteers to ensure effective site coverage.
  • Plans, schedules, and assigns work for staff and volunteers, providing instruction on proper methods and procedures.
  • Checks and approves work in progress and upon completion for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with Salvation Army policies.
  • Maintains contact with staff and volunteers, addressing questions and concerns, and recognizing their contributions.
  • Prepares and maintains up-to-date records and databases for daily kettle income information.
  • Prepares reports on the status of the kettle program and provides staff and volunteers with documentation of hours worked.
  • Plans, coordinates, and prepares special events, including preparing recognition plaques and certificates.
  • Maintains special event records for future reference.
  • Meets with community leaders and organizations to discuss Salvation Army needs.
  • Drives Salvation Army vehicles to deliver and collect kettles and supplies to kettle locations and workers.
  • Assists with counting, recording, and depositing of kettle funds.
