Pet Care Specialist
About The Position
Barkaritaville Pet Resort in San Antonio is hiring Full-Time and Part-Time Kennel Attendants to help deliver top-notch care to the pets entrusted to them. This role involves the daily care of dogs, including feeding, bathing, walking, cleaning, and monitoring behavior to ensure each pet's comfort and safety. The position requires a hands-on approach and involves working closely with team members to maintain a clean, positive, and organized environment. This job requires physical activity such as lifting, bending, and being on your feet for most of the shift, and comfort working both indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
Requirements
- A genuine love for animals and desire to care for them
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to follow safety protocols and cleanliness standards
- Comfortable working outside in all types of weather
- Strong attention to detail and time management
- Professional appearance and communication skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Reliable attendance and solid work history
Nice To Haves
- Experience in animal care, hospitality, or customer service is a plus
Responsibilities
- Monitoring and interacting with dogs in group and individual settings
- Cleaning suites, play areas, and common spaces
- Providing basic grooming tasks such as bathing
- Ensuring pets are eating, drinking, and acting normally
- Updating notes and pet care logs in our software
- Assisting with client communication and facility tours when needed
