Position we are currently hiring for at our growing company is in Belvidere, on Rockford’s east side, where we offer several different services for people and their pets. There is currently a Part-time opportunity, 20-30 hours per week, in a pet care position with a great support staff and leadership team that you would be joining.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Previous experience in a pet facility or pet care environment a plus
Excellent work history and references
Available to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
Previous dog experience meaning more than that you have owned a dog
Good dog handling skills
Demonstrated success working as a member of a team
Ability to quickly learn new procedures and processes
Strong organizational and follow-through skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
High level of ownership, accountability, and initiative
Ability to multitask while maintaining a positive attitude to ensure excellent care
Willingness to go above and beyond when needed
Flexibility and positive reaction to change
Ability to lift up to 45 lbs.
Must be in good physical condition, able to squat, stoop, bend, lift, and do a lot of walking throughout shift.
Must be able to work outdoors enduring extreme weather and temperatures.

Responsibilities

Pets in our facility must be cared for promptly, every day.
Maintain the highest standards in cleanliness.
Ensure each guest's needs are met, from medications to meals, play times to pampering.
Work as a team member to ensure the best for the dogs.
Add to the conversation and brainstorm with fellow staff on ways to make the experience more enriching.
Accomplish goals for work and personal development.
Ensure every guest is comfortable, happy and receiving all of the services that an owner requests.
Maintain the daily duties in a timely manner.
Closely monitor the health and wellness of every guest.
Communicate clearly with our leadership team.
Feed and medicate guests, and keep detailed records of our guests entire stay.
Maintain a highest level of cleanliness in all areas of our facility, play yards and outdoor dog patios.
Exercise guests.
Perform basic grooming of guests: bathing, nail trims, brushing and ear cleaning.
Ensure every guest goes home clean, happy and that expectations were exceeded.
