This position involves operating PET equipment to produce images and measure concentrations of Radioactive Isotopes in specific body areas and body products. The role requires adherence to Shields Health Care Group policies, procedures, and protocols, as well as rules and regulations from the NRC, state regulatory agencies, and JCAHO. Responsibilities include informing patients about their exams, ensuring patient safety by clearing contraindications and hazards, accurately positioning patients, maintaining contact during exams, completing all related forms, recording patient data, issuing films, forwarding data to the Radiologist, refilming cases as time allows, assisting clerical staff, and cleaning/re-supplying equipment and rooms.
