About The Position

Requirements

Completion of accredited program in Nuclear Medicine Technology
Current American Registry of Radiology Technology certification in Nuclear Medicine (ARRT(N)) or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) credentials.
Current permit to practice in Iowa for both Radiologic Technologist and Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
Current BCLS certification.
Excellent patient care and communication skills are essential

Responsibilities

Producing diagnostic CT and PT/CT exams following established protocols and guidelines.
Administers IV radioactive isotopes or contrast media, as well as radionuclide therapies according to established protocols
Manages safety protocols from the hot lab and safely handles radioisotopes as directed by IDPH and American College of Radiology.
Employs proper radiation protection to patients, self and others and practices sterile techniques.
Coordinates the work schedule for efficient patient flow.
Operates and maintains a properly stocked and operational examination room.
