About The Position
Cares and attends to animals.
Requirements
- Graduation from high school or equivalent with an additional one year experience attending animals or any combination of experience and education that provides the following
- Valid Current Driver’s License
- Physical Exam Required
- Ability to work with animals
- Ability to deal effectively with the public
- Ability to handle unpredictable animals
- Ability to operate the following equipment: catch pole, hose, squeegee, mop, broom
- Ability to communicate effectively with others
Responsibilities
- Feed and water animals as needed
- Clean and disinfect cages, pens, and yards and sterilizes equipment
- Keep all work spaces tidy & free of debris
- Help citizens with questions/concerns & adoption process
- Examine animals for signs of illness and notate on vet list
- Transfers animals between quarters
- Record information according to instructions
- Performs related duties as required
