About The Position

Hawaiian Building Maintenance (HBM) has been providing quality service since 1957. We are one of the largest facility service providers in the State of Hawaii. The Account Manager is responsible for the management of an account or assigned accounts, and the supervisors assigned to each account. They operate as the lead point of contact for any and all matters specific to their assigned accounts. They build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships and oversee customer account management, including negotiating contracts and agreements to maximize profit. Compensation range: $85,000 - $90,000 annually

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Successful completion of background check is mandatory.
  • Previous management/supervisory and cleaning experience required.
  • Previous custodian, janitorial, maintenance or related work experience.
  • Basic work experience in maintenance (electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and masonry).
  • Must have good public relation and communication skills and the ability to interact effectively at all levels.
  • Proven ability to juggle multiple account management projects at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail.
  • Must be in good physical condition to bend, squat, reach, kneel, climb, walk etc. as needed for specific projects.
  • Requires attention to detail.
  • Proficient in computer usage and software such as Microsoft Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Manages the overall activities of a project(s), and supervises the supervisors
  • Maintains/monitors work schedules of all personnel, including the preparation and submission of weekly payroll time sheets
  • Establishes/maintains work performance standards making sure specifications are met
  • Conducts quality assurance checks and manages materials inventory as well as general use of equipment
  • Conducts site evaluations/audits
  • Coordinates and controls special project work
  • Measures performance of accounts against assigned budgets and quality standards
  • Ensures the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives
  • Resolves on-site service delivery problems
  • Answer client queries and identify new business opportunities among existing customers
  • Participates in ongoing management/technical skill development training programs
  • Conducts orientation of employees, develops employees’ skills/abilities and performs annual employee evaluations
  • Develops strong relationships with customers, connecting with key business executives and stakeholders and preparing reports
  • Clearly communicate the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders
  • Develop new business with existing clients and/or identify areas of improvement to improve service quality and sales growth
  • Prepare reports on account status.
  • Assist with budget planning and suggest cost-saving initiatives
  • Collaborate with Operations team to identify and grow opportunities within territory
  • Assist with challenging client requests or issue escalations as needed
  • Perform other duties as requested by management
  • Position may require occasional travel
  • Must attend mandatory training
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by HBM management
