About The Position

Hawaiian Building Maintenance (HBM) is seeking a highly motivated, reliable, and trustworthy individual with excellent customer service skills and a detailed-oriented approach to clean and maintain a commercial location in Koloa, HI. This full-time position involves maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of common areas, including offices and restrooms, operating a golf cart, and managing trash disposal. While previous experience is preferred, it is not mandatory. All applicants must pass an HBM prescreen check and possess a valid Hawaii driver's license. The role requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong organizational skills.

Requirements

Must pass HBM prescreen check.
Must have a valid Hawaii driver's license.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
Effective verbal communication skills in English.
Capacity to access and navigate two floors via elevator and stairways.
Physical capability to lift, bend, and handle trash disposal tasks.
Applicants must perform basic manual labor, clean common areas, frequently press, lift, push, pull, carry a minimum of 30lbs (up to 50lbs), be able to reach overhead, grasp objects, bend, kneel, crawl, squat, climb, stretch, walk, stair and ladder climbing and stand throughout their shifts.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in janitorial, housekeeping, or a related field is preferred.
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Experience operating a golf cart is preferred.
Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as vacuums and floor maintenance tools.

Responsibilities

Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of all common areas within the facility.
Operate a golf cart to navigate the property.
Clean and organize office spaces to uphold a professional environment.
Clean and maintain six restrooms.
Restock restroom supplies and ensure restrooms are clean and sanitary.
Use vacuum equipment to thoroughly clean indoor flooring.
Sweep and mop both interior and exterior floors, and clean glass doors and mirrors to a high standard.
Disinfect frequently touched surfaces, including wiping down all tables and chairs to promote hygiene.
Collect and properly dispose of trash from designated areas, including lifting trash from bins and transporting it as needed.
Safely maneuver trash bins and navigate staircases as part of waste management duties.
