K-8 School Culture Aide (Immediate Opening)
About The Position
Brooke Charter Schools is a network of four public charter schools serving grades K–12 in Mattapan, Roslindale, and East Boston. The schools coach and invest in teachers to help students achieve at high levels and graduate from college. Brooke believes academic achievement empowers students to live choice-filled lives and contribute to creating a just world, while educators support students in recognizing their identities as strengths as they grow and achieve. As a School Culture Aide at Brooke Mattapan, you will hold students to high expectations and lead large groups in a fun and safe manner. Duties may include monitoring bus rides to and from school, lunch, snacks, recess, and other tasks as needed. Compensation ranges from $21.00 to $28.00 per hour, commensurate with experience. The position is an immediate opening.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Prior experience working with students and ability to lead large groups in a fun and safe manner.
- Belief that great teaching closes the achievement gap and unwavering belief in students’ capabilities.
- Professional, warm, and collaborative approach with students, families, and colleagues.
- Ability to start immediately.
Nice To Haves
- Spanish or Haitian Creole fluency.
Responsibilities
