K–12 Enrichment Instructor (Independent Contractor)

Concorde Education•Brooklyn, NY
•Onsite

About The Position

Concorde Education is seeking qualified independent contractor instructors for current and future K–12 school-based enrichment programs at schools and community partner locations. Instructors share relevant skills, professional expertise, or subject knowledge with students through part-time assignments. A teaching certification is not necessarily required; relevant experience in coaching, professional practice, tutoring, mentoring, youth development, or specialized instruction may qualify candidates for consideration. Programs may cover technology and innovation, science and engineering, creative arts, academic development, games and critical thinking, health and recreation, practical and career skills, and other specialties as partner schools introduce them. Each assignment has its own schedule, student population, instructional goals, resources, and requirements. Some assignments provide curriculum, lesson plans, supplies, or instructional guidelines; others allow instructors to use their own expertise and suitable learning activities. Assignments generally involve approximately 1–4 instructional hours per week over 8–10 weeks, though schedules and duration vary by program. Most assignments offer $50–$65 per instructional hour; the actual rate depends on the specific opportunity and is communicated before acceptance. Applicants may be considered as opportunities arise, but applying, screening, or completing an instructor profile does not guarantee selection, assignments, hours, compensation, or future engagements. Any engagement is subject to applicable screening and clearance requirements, school approval when required, and written confirmation of the specific assignment.

  • At least 60 completed college credits is preferred for many opportunities.
  • Relevant experience in camps, community programs, private lessons, youth organizations, or related professional environments.
  • Teaching certification is not necessary for all opportunities; equivalent professional or specialized experience may be considered for a particular assignment.
