The Syracuse City School District is seeking a dedicated and diverse team of educators to partner with them in moving the district toward its goals. The district represents 35 schools and programs, serving approximately 19,000 students Pre-K–12. Successful educators are passionately committed to urban education and all in for Syracuse students. They believe strongly that all students can learn at high levels, demonstrate commitment to serving urban students, schools or communities, and to closing the achievement gap. They demonstrate a willingness to put the interests of students above all others, actively contribute to a culture of high expectations, and adapt seamlessly to the complexities of the urban school environment. This position is for the JV Football Head Coach at Nottingham for the Fall 2026 season. The district offers 120 different athletic teams for students in grades 7-12, with a coaching staff that consists of certified, dedicated people who enjoy working with student athletes. The modified program (grades 7-8) emphasizes skill development, participation, discipline, enjoyment, competition, and the value of hard work, rather than winning. The high school level (freshman, Junior Varsity, and Varsity teams) stresses the development of academics, goal setting, teamwork, leadership, and sportsmanship, with a focus on striving for success and efficient team and individual effort.
