About The Position

The JV Coach/Assistant Women's Coach is responsible for overseeing the team's practice and competition, ensuring student-athlete class attendance is a priority, and managing the sport's budget and equipment. This role also involves coordinating travel arrangements, including transportation, lodging, and meals, and ensuring proper conduct and dress code for student-athletes during travel. Additionally, the coach will liaise with the Director of Sports Information for player profiles and accomplishments and provide match information for publicity.

Requirements

  • Must have signed contracts on file in the athletic department for every match.
  • Must avoid practicing or playing on Sunday.
  • Must prioritize class attendance by student-athletes when making schedules.
  • Must maintain budget control of their sport.
  • Must be responsible for all equipment assigned to the sport.
  • Must be responsible for both the team's practice and competition.
  • Must ensure transportation is available for travel to all away competitions.
  • Must be responsible for driving or ensuring safe drivers are secured.
  • Must secure money for travel well in advance to include lodging, meals, and travel.
  • Must get play profiles and accomplishments to the Director of Sports Information.
  • Must provide match information to be publicized on the university website and local media outlets.
  • Must ensure the conduct of student-athletes, proper dress and conduct while on the road.
