Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Access control and badge experience is preferred.
Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or authorized personnel by following site-specific procedures, access control protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
Monitor entrances and exits, verify identification and authorization, and help to control access to restricted areas in accordance with established policies and post orders.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with supervisors, staff, and/or public agencies as needed.
Document visitor activity, deliveries, and/or unusual events, maintain accurate logs and reports, and report security-related concerns according to site procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter to help to identify unauthorized activity, security-related issues, and/or conditions that may require attention.
