About The Position
Clay County is accepting applications for an open position as a Full-Time Juvenile Detention Worker in the Non-Secure CLIPS unit with the West Central Regional Juvenile Center. This is an internal-only position, meaning only current Clay County employees are eligible to apply. The role involves working overnight shifts, with rotating weekends and holidays. The starting salary is $26.50 per hour, with a full salary range of $26.50-$36.91 per hour. Requirements
- One-year certificate from college or a technical school or (60 credits or more)
- 3-6 months experience working with at-risk population.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
- Must be male.
- Must be a current Clay County Employee.
- Must successfully complete a background investigation.
- Clay County Application must be submitted.
- Resume must be submitted.
Responsibilities
- Provides supervision and ensures the safety and security of clients.
- Assists in the supervision of mandated programming for residents.
- Complete intakes of all new admits into the juvenile center.
- Performs safety inspections at night.
- Attend staff trainings.
- Perform custodial functions including building safety and security.
