Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• A current DPSS and/or DHS tuberculosis test and MMR vaccinations are required.
• A minimum of 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a government location.
• Monitor and control access points by verifying credentials, processing visitors, maintaining entry records, and reporting unusual activity through established channels.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and following post orders for restricted areas.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, noting access control concerns, damaged barriers, and/or unauthorized entry attempts.
• Communicate with staff, visitors, and supervisors regarding security-related issues, policy questions, and/or changes in site access procedures.
