Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
A minimum of 6 months of security-related experience is required.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and authorization credentials, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
Respond to incidents, policy concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related issues to site leadership.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, noting unusual activity, checking access points, and following established post orders and security-related procedures.
